Uhhhh DERP!
The human population is blind, deaf, dumb, and full on double retarded all the way across the damn sky, but before I go any further I want you to take a gander at the comic strip below. I found in on Reddit. I always rant about an Orwellian future like some crazed conspiracy theorist, but this comic makes sense of an Orwellian future/present and a Huxley future. Take a look.
A Brave New World vs. 1984
That comic strips offers an interesting proposal. This Orwellian future that a lot of people speak about when talking about government control might not actually be the future. The more probable idea is a Huxley future, or should I say present. We have allowed ourselves to become infatuated with pre-pubescent pop stars, reality shows were people eat trash for money, and enough Michael Bay movies to give any epileptic a seizure.
As a population, we are oblivious to anything REAL that is happening around us. North Korea shot up a South Korean island and killed South Koreans. No one said a peep. I bet if I had mentioned this to people they would have said “OMFG like NO WAYY!! So are we at like war and stuff 
?” Another fine example is wikileaks. I am baffled by how my people have no clue what wikileaks is or they are entirely misinformed altogether. I want to start punching faces when people agree with the likes of Sarah Palin for saying things such as Julian Assange (founder of wikileaks) should be pursued with the same urgency as the Taliban. Granted, I do have friends or people I know who are informed, but I am talking about a majority of people.
Another problem we have is when people try to become informed, they are filled to the top with Grade A USDA 100% bullshit! I am talking about the media. We have the people on FOX news bitching about healthcare and how government control is terrible, but they praise the patriot act? *They aren’t working some agendaaa….?*Then we have CNN. They don’t even attempt to report news. They just do 1 hour Michael Jackson features and show Wolf Blitzer every so often. BAM! News! This is the kind of stuff that the comic strip summed up with A Brave New World. unfortunately, I have not read A Brave New World yet, but I have read 1984. It’s the only book that gives me chills, except for the stuff I read at work. it’s genuinely cold there, so I get chills often.
Anyways, I wanted to make a point, and make it short. Did I change your mind, probably not. Do you care, probably not? Did I entertain you with a useless rant/blog that will be read by 2 people (myself and someone searching Michael bay movies in the wordpress search), yes. And yes, humanity has hope. Rest assured you pessimistic readers. There is hope. That hope lies at the end of human existence. Until then, “keep on rocking in the free world” <(I have always found that lyric quite sarcastic)
